Statement on the future of the Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards

After much reflection, and with great appreciation for everyone who has supported us, we want to share an important update about the future of the Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards.

The SECBE Awards have, for many years, shone a spotlight on the innovation, collaboration and leadership that define excellence across the built environment. Together, we have celebrated the achievements of individuals, teams and organisations who are driving real change in our industry, and we are incredibly proud of the legacy we have built with you.

However, despite the dedication and enthusiasm of our community, we face increasing challenges in sustaining the Awards in their current form. With this in mind, the SECBE Awards will not be taking place in 2026. This has not been an easy decision, but one we believe reflects the changing landscape in which we all work.

We would like to sincerely thank all our entrants, finalists, winners, sponsors and partners for your commitment and support over the years. You have helped us to celebrate excellence, raise standards, and inspire positive transformation across the sector.

While the Awards will pause in 2026, our commitment to recognising and promoting best practice is undiminished. We are actively exploring fresh and exciting ways to continue showcasing the remarkable achievements of our industry, through formats that are better suited to today’s opportunities and challenges.
