Charles’ journey from Junior Site Engineer to Director of Construction has been defined by his relentless drive, innovative mindset, and genuine passion for developing people.
 
Over the past ten years, Charles has played a pivotal role in scaling our business from a turnover of £1 million to £35 million. He has led the successful delivery of complex, high-value projects including Escapade Silverstone (£12M), Haskins Crawley (£6M), and MEPC Silverstone Park (£10M) – each completed to exceptional standards, on time and within budget.
 
More than simply delivering projects, Charles has reshaped the business for long-term, sustainable growth. He initiated the formation of our ground engineering and concrete division, unlocking new commercial opportunities and creating structured career pathways for our team – particularly emerging talent. His ability to mentor and inspire others has seen several employees achieve chartered status under his guidance. He has also established our apprenticeship scheme, with a clear focus on supporting the future needs of the industry.
 
Charles has modernised our operations from the ground up – leading the successful implementation of Procore across the business and introducing GPS-guided excavators. These innovations have significantly improved precision, reduced waste, and enhanced overall delivery efficiency.
 
Outside of work, Charles applies the same discipline and compassion to all he does – whether through competitive sport or his charity work with NRAS.
