Kentish New House: Where Craft, Comfort, and Nature Meet
Kentish New House is a stunning one-off home that fuses timeless rural character with contemporary design principles. Nestled within the Kent countryside, this highly crafted residence champions sustainability, elegance, and an intimate connection to its natural surroundings—redefining what modern rural living can look like.
Materiality & Craftsmanship
The home is built from a carefully curated palette of durable materials, led by high-quality brickwork that balances strength with aesthetic warmth. Bespoke joinery and precise detailing showcase exceptional craftsmanship throughout, creating a refined and tactile living environment that will stand the test of time.
Passive Design, Minimal Footprint
Kentish New House is designed to Passive House principles, incorporating high-performance insulation, natural ventilation, and sustainable technologies such as a ground-source heat pump and on-site borehole. These strategies dramatically lower the home’s environmental impact while maintaining optimum year-round comfort and energy efficiency.
A Dialogue with the Landscape
Thoughtfully integrated with the site’s topography, the house is oriented to maximise light, privacy, and views. Expansive glazed openings blur the line between indoors and out, extending the living experience into landscaped spaces designed for wellbeing and reflection. The result is a serene, grounded home that feels both rooted and open.
Kentish New House isn’t just a place to live—it’s a celebration of design, sustainability, and craftsmanship. A home that elevates everyday life through its connection to people, place, and purpose.
